Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate shipping and receiving, and smooth distribution processes. As a key team member, you will lead a team of warehouse associates, implement process improvements, and maintain high standards of safety and organization. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, logistics, and materials handling will drive operational excellence and support our company's growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment to ensure timely and accurate operations.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a productive work environment.
- Manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms, ensuring accuracy and accountability across all stock movements.
- Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, collaborating with 3PL providers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize delivery schedules.
- Oversee materials handling activities including heavy lifting, mechanical equipment operation (forklifts), and proper storage techniques to maintain safety standards.
- Implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline warehouse distribution procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision within a fast-paced distribution or e-commerce environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, logistics operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and warehouse distribution processes.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts and mechanical handling equipment; forklift certification preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and materials handling technology.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster collaboration.
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physical stamina required for long shifts involving manual tasks.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehousing environments.
