Responsibilities
- Safely unload incoming shipments using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes, adhering strictly to safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Efficiently load outgoing shipments by organizing and securing materials for transport.
- Operate inventory management systems and RF scanners to accurately track materials during unloading and assembly processes.
- Perform manual handling and heavy lifting tasks to move products within the warehouse, ensuring proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Assemble products or components as required, following detailed instructions and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by sorting, stacking, and storing materials in designated areas.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties, verifying orders against shipping documentation and ensuring accuracy throughout the process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or related warehouse operations.
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and load & unload machinery safely.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanners for tracking materials.
- Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.
- Knowledge of safety protocols aligned with OSHA regulations; commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Previous experience in shipping & receiving or materials handling is preferred; warehouse supervisor experience is a plus.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions for assembly tasks and operate material handling equipment efficiently.
