About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated TIG Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precision Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) on a variety of metal alloys, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy. Your expertise in welding techniques and blueprint reading will be crucial in contributing to our manufacturing success.
Responsibilities
- Execute precision GTAW welding operations on diverse metal alloys, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
- Interpret technical drawings, process sheets, and sample parts to determine welding parameters and specifications.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, adjusting settings to achieve optimal weld quality and penetration.
- Conduct thorough visual inspections of weldments, identifying and rectifying any defects or inconsistencies.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of welding procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience in GTAW welding.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding equipment features, backup gas requirements, and the effects of parameter changes.
- Certification to groove and fillet weld on thin gauge Stainless Steel, Nickel Alloy, and Cobalt Alloy material per AWS D17.1 Class A.
- Familiarity with AWS A2.4 and AWS A3.0 welding standards and definitions.
- Experience in assisting with the development and revision of work instructions.
