Pain Relief and Physical Therapy is looking for a part-time Physical Therapist to join its private, out-patient clinic. We focus primarily on manual therapy and skills, spending more time with our patients to assess causes of pain and injury and find a comprehensive solution for them. Exposure to manual therapy skills is a positive, but we also train those skills in-office.
Our work environment focuses on collaboration between our entire staff, and we put a major emphasis on spending time building relationships and trust with patients. We treat a diverse patient population and have flexible clinic hours. We would work with our new part-time Physical Therapist to create an accommodating schedule of up to 30 hours per week. We're open to new graduates as well as more experienced Physical Therapists.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions using various techniques, including manual therapy, to improve patient mobility and function.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, exercises, and strategies for managing their conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with medical standards.
- Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and medical terminology.
Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to physical therapy practices.
- Experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, or home community care is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and improving patient outcomes.
