Basic Purpose
Under the direction of the Supervisor, Customer Care, this role delivers a high‑quality customer experience that strengthens relationships with business partners and customers. The position acts as a primary point of contact for service, coordination, and issue resolution, while proactively supporting customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
Customer Support & Service Delivery
- Respond to customer and business partner inquiries related to product information, pricing, availability, lead times, order entry, technical support, and order expediting in a timely and professional manner
- Drive first‑call resolution whenever possible by leveraging available tools, systems, and support resources
- Coordinate warm handoffs to appropriate internal teams when issues require escalation
- Maintain consistently high standards of professionalism, integrity, ethical behavior, and respect in all customer interactions
Relationship Management & Customer Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship owner for assigned business partners and customers
- Lead onsite or virtual customer and business partner visits to WIKA locations, coordinating with internal teams to ensure business objectives are achieved
- Travel to customer or business partner sites on an approximately quarterly basis (7–10% travel) to support relationship development and business goals
- Lead regularly scheduled customer account reviews, including analysis of sales performance, products purchased, and demand forecasts
Customer Experience & Continuous Improvement
- Develop, implement, and own corrective action plans resulting from customer feedback
- Design and lead programs and activities to improve Net Promoter Score (NPS) for assigned accounts
- Identify opportunities to improve customer service processes, tools, and efficiencies
- Partner with customers to implement e‑business solutions that enhance efficiency and service effectiveness
- Implement new standard operating procedures and business guidelines to improve service levels
Sales Support & Growth Enablement
- Execute proactive cross‑selling activities to grow sales with assigned business partners and customers
- Own and maintain the relationship matrix between business partners and WIKA inside sales teams
- Develop customer‑specific training programs for inside sales teams aligned with annual Mutual Action Plans
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Liaison Role
- Act as the liaison between business partners and internal departments, including Sales, Product Management, Technical Support, PMO, and other teams
- Build and maintain strong internal relationships to ensure timely issue resolution and alignment
- Lead and contribute to cross‑functional efforts to support customer success and business objectives
Knowledge Development & Team Enablement
- Maintain and demonstrate intermediate‑level knowledge of products, applications, business processes, and relevant industries
- Act as a mentor, peer resource, and subject‑matter expert within the Customer Care team to support opportunity execution and issue resolution
- Promote continuous learning by actively participating in group trainings and development activities
Projects & Additional Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to special projects as assigned by leadership
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degreein Business or Technical field or equivalent experience in field
- Hands-on experience in Customer Service, Account Management, and/or Inside Sales is essential for this Senior Subject Matter Expert role, typically 5-7 years working with Manufacturer’s Reps, Distributors and OEM Customers
- Proven proficiency in deciphering and precisely interpreting complex customer drawings within WIKA's product portfolio, including the capability to deeply comprehend and translate intricate customer drawings to ensure seamless integration and support within the customer's operational framework.
- Demonstrated ability to swiftly and comprehensively process intricate technical information within assigned specialized technical product domain in order to rapidly analyze and effectively apply complex technical details to ensuring precise and informed support for our customers' critical operations.
