Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and responsible Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating hook lift and rolloff trucks efficiently and securely. Your energetic approach will ensure timely deliveries and passenger safety while providing excellent customer service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity ,all while adhering to safety standards and traffic laws.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical soundness and compliance with safety regulations.
- Respond quickly to traffic changes or road conditions to maintain schedule integrity.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, and team members using clear language and professional demeanor.
- Maintain vehicle maintenance needs in line with company policies.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid CDL license.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, emergency stop procedures, and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading equipment or supplies.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities.
- Experience working with children or seniors; understanding behavior management is beneficial.
- Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance awareness.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a friendly attitude to enhance passenger experience.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly while providing quick responses to traffic changes or emergencies.
