Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Ensure all food handling and safety guidelines are strictly followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Utilize kitchen equipment, including ovens, mixers, and knives, with proficiency and care.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menu items and special promotions effectively.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting in ordering as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment.
- Assist in training new staff members on pizza preparation techniques and kitchen protocols.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Proficient knife skills for efficient food preparation.
- Experience working in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures within a dietary department is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
- Creative thinking for menu planning and developing new pizza recipes.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
