As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a Market Sales Manager to lead our expansion throughout the Charleston market.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys both building business personally and developing a high-performing sales team. This is not a desk management role. The Market Sales Manager will lead from the front by maintaining a protected sales territory while recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and holding a team of sales professionals accountable for achieving market growth.

Position Summary
The Market Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth across the Charleston market through both personal production and team leadership.
This leader will establish the standard by consistently executing the same sales process expected of every member of the team. You will maintain your own protected sales territory and personal sales quota while leading your team to achieve collective sales goals.
Success in this role requires someone who is equally comfortable making cold calls, conducting sales presentations, negotiating contracts, coaching sales representatives, and reviewing performance metrics.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Lead by example through daily prospecting, appointment setting, and closing activities.
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, ride-alongs, and pipeline reviews.
- Establish accountability through activity metrics, coaching, and performance management.
- Build and maintain a positive, competitive, and results-driven sales culture.
- Implement sales strategies that drive sustainable growth throughout the Charleston market.
Personal Sales Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a protected sales territory.
- Personally achieve daily prospecting and outreach goals through outbound phone calls and in-person visits.
- Identify, qualify, and develop new commercial business opportunities.
- Conduct needs assessments, product demonstrations, and solution-based presentations.
- Negotiate contracts and close new business.
- Build long-term relationships with commercial clients.
Business Management
- Monitor sales metrics, forecasts, and pipeline activity.
- Prepare performance reports and sales forecasts for ownership.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with marketing, service, and installation teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Attend distributor-led sales and product training conducted by Aqua Essentials in Nashville, Tennessee.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of successful B2B sales experience with a proven track record of generating new business.
- Minimum 3 years of sales leadership or sales management experience preferred.
- Extensive experience with cold calling by phone and in person.
- Demonstrated success building business through prospecting—not simply managing inbound leads or working company-provided opportunities.
- Proven ability to recruit, coach, mentor, and develop successful sales professionals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic and a high level of personal accountability.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the Charleston market.
Preferred Experience
- Experience selling commercial products or services to businesses with 20+ employees.
- Experience in water purification, drinking water systems, office equipment, HVAC, facility services, copier sales, payroll, waste management, uniform rental, or other consultative B2B sales industries.
- Experience in the water dispensing or water treatment industry is a plus.
