Killerspots is a full-service marketing and production agency seeking a reliable, organized, and execution-focused Social Media Manager + Marketing Assistant.
You will initially manage the day-to-day social media workflow for approximately five client accounts. You will be responsible for ensuring content is researched, written, coordinated, approved, scheduled, published, and reviewed accurately and on time.
This is not an influencer position or a senior director role. It is a hands-on position for someone who takes ownership, follows established processes, communicates clearly, and keeps work moving without constant supervision.
You will work closely with our Creative Manager, graphic designer, video producer, and agency leadership.
Core Responsibilities Social Media Management and Execution
- Own the daily social media workflow for assigned client accounts
- Build and maintain monthly content calendars
- Research relevant topics, seasonal opportunities, competitors, and industry trends
- Develop content ideas based on each client’s goals, audience, and brand
- Write engaging captions and social media copy in each client’s voice
- Schedule and publish approved content accurately and on time
- Manage content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, X, and Google Business Profile as assigned
- Adapt content appropriately for each platform
- Verify links, tags, formatting, graphics, videos, and publishing dates before posts go live
- Maintain consistent activity across every assigned account
This person is the primary point of ownership for social media execution.
Creative Asset Coordination
- Develop clear content requests and creative briefs for designers and video producers
- Coordinate with the creative team to gather graphics, videos, photos, and other assets
- Organize client-provided materials so they can be used efficiently
- Confirm that all assets meet brand standards and platform requirements
- Proactively identify missing assets, information, approvals, or potential delays
You are not expected to design every graphic or edit every video. You are expected to give the creative team clear direction and keep production moving.
Approvals and Revisions
- Prepare content for internal and client review
- Submit calendars, captions, graphics, and videos for approval
- Track approval status and follow up when responses are needed
- Accurately implement client and internal feedback
- Confirm that all requested revisions are completed before publishing
- Maintain clear records of approvals and changes
Community Management
- Monitor basic comments, messages, and engagement on assigned accounts
- Respond to routine engagement when approved guidelines are available
- Identify and escalate sales opportunities, complaints, sensitive comments, or reputation concerns
- Ensure important messages and potential leads are not overlooked
- Engage with relevant accounts when appropriate and approved
Monday.com and Workflow Management
- Maintain all social media tasks, deadlines, approvals, and content calendars in Monday.com
- Keep boards accurate and current
- Follow established agency processes and recurring workflows
- Document status updates, missing information, and blockers
- Communicate clearly with the Creative Manager and agency leadership
- Participate in internal production meetings as needed
All work, deadlines, approvals, and status updates must be accurately maintained in Monday.com.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor reach, engagement, clicks, follower growth, video performance, and other relevant metrics
- Identify content formats and topics that perform best
- Make practical recommendations regarding content mix, posting frequency, timing, and platform use
- Prepare clear monthly performance reports
- Explain what worked, what did not, and what should be adjusted
- Look beyond vanity metrics and identify opportunities that support awareness, trust, leads, and sales
This role optimizes social media execution within the agency’s overall marketing direction. It does not independently control the client’s complete marketing strategy.
Client Communication
- Participate in client calls and content meetings as needed
- Communicate professionally and confidently with clients
- Explain what is being posted, when it will be published, and how content is performing
- Gather information, assets, approvals, and feedback from clients
- Escalate larger strategy questions, complaints, or scope changes to agency leadership
- Maintain a professional and responsive client experience
Marketing and Administrative Support
- Organize client files, links, photos, videos, and social media assets
- Prepare meeting notes, action items, and follow-up lists
- Assist with competitor and content research
- Help organize reports, presentations, and client-facing materials
- Follow up internally on outstanding assignments and deadlines
- Support occasional Killerspots marketing and agency projects
- Assist the Creative Manager with related content and workflow tasks as needed
This position does not include personal assistant duties.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience managing social media for multiple businesses, brands, or clients
- Agency experience is strongly preferred
- Strong English writing, grammar, editing, and proofreading skills
- Experience creating content calendars and writing social media copy
- Experience scheduling content across multiple platforms
- Familiarity with social media scheduling and reporting tools
- Comfortable using Monday.com or a similar project management platform
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage recurring deadlines across multiple accounts
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Availability for regular overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours

Pay: $38,500.00 - $41,000.00 per year
