MATERIA Collection – Luxury Architectural Finishes & Millwork
Position Summary
MATERIA Collection is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Estimator with CAD and 3D rendering experience to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about luxury interiors, custom millwork, architectural finishes, and design.
The Project Estimator will work closely with our sales team, designers, architects, vendors, and manufacturers to prepare accurate proposals, develop technical drawings, create presentation renderings, and ensure projects transition smoothly from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Sales Support
- Prepare detailed quotations for luxury millwork, wall paneling, doors, cabinetry, furniture, and specialty architectural finishes.
- Review architectural plans, interior design drawings, and specifications.
- Perform material take-offs and quantity calculations.
- Request and evaluate pricing from domestic and international manufacturers.
- Prepare professional proposals and pricing packages.
- Update estimates as project scopes evolve.
- Maintain the estimating database and pricing records.
CAD & Technical Drawings
- Produce and modify detailed CAD drawings.
- Develop custom millwork layouts.
- Coordinate dimensions and specifications with architects, designers, and contractors.
- Ensure drawings comply with manufacturer requirements.
3D Rendering & Design Support
- Create high-quality photorealistic renderings for client presentations.
- Assist in developing design concepts and finish combinations.
- Prepare presentation boards and visual materials.
- Support the sales team by creating renderings that help clients visualize finished spaces.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with manufacturers regarding technical details.
- Track revisions and maintain drawing history.
- Assist Project Managers during production.
- Verify specifications before orders are released.
- Participate in project meetings as required.
Client Communication
- Answer technical questions from architects and designers.
- Clarify project requirements.
- Present finish options and material recommendations.
- Maintain professional communication throughout each project.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of estimating experience in luxury interiors, millwork, cabinetry, architectural products, or construction.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience preparing quantity take-offs.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
