Penmac Education Staffing is hiring Substitute Teachers to support classrooms throughout the McDonald County School District. Missouri makes it easier than ever to become a substitute teacher. Individuals with at least 36 college credit hours may qualify by completing an approved 20-hour online Missouri DESE Substitute Teacher Training Program. Requirements for the Substitute Teacher
- Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate or Missouri Teaching License
- At least 36 college credit hours in any field and completion of an approved Missouri DESE 20-hour online substitute training program, or a valid Missouri teaching license
- Ability to complete required training provided by Penmac
- Willingness to submit to fingerprinting and a criminal background check (please contact Penmac before completing this step)
- Dependable, professional, and comfortable working with students of various ages
Substitute Teacher Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Encourage student participation and classroom involvement
- Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and outdoor areas
- Maintain classroom expectations and ensure student safety
- Adapt activities when needed to support student success
- Communicate professionally with school staff and administration
Substitute Teacher Pay and Benefits
- Daily rate of pay $120.00 per full day
