National Exemption Service (NES) is seeking a Traveling Field Meter Specialist to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain water, gas, and electric sub-metering systems at apartment communities, multifamily communities, and commercial properties throughout Florida and across the United States. We proudly serve customers in 43 states. While our primary focus is water sub-metering, our specialists also install and service gas and electric metering systems.
This is a hands-on field position working with utility metering equipment. It is not an Information Technology (IT), computer support, network, or help desk position.

Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain water, gas, and electric sub-metering systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and service calls
- Replace and repair metering system components
- Test equipment to ensure proper operation
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately
- Communicate professionally with property managers, maintenance staff, and customers
- Follow all company safety procedures and operating standards
- Represent National Exemption Service professionally while working at customer properties
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old (vehicle rental requirements)
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working in crawl spaces and other confined areas
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Florida and the United States
