Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences for our afternoon tea, fine dining and 1747 pub and courtyard. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for their dining experience. Your ability to manage reservations, greet guests warmly, and ensure smooth seating will contribute significantly to our restaurant's success.
Duties
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Provide accurate wait times and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with a focus on excellent customer service and guest relations.
- Utilize POS systems such as Micros POS for managing reservations and orders as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Host/Host or in food service is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving and guest services, is advantageous.
- Experience in hotel settings or related industries is a plus.
