Automotive Detail Manager
Salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year
Peppers Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Detail Manager to lead our detail department. We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional vehicle presentation, enjoys leading a team, and thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment.
As the Detail Manager, you'll oversee all vehicle reconditioning, ensure every vehicle meets our quality standards, manage workflow, and develop a team that consistently delivers outstanding results.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to Wash, Wax, and Buff vehicles efficiently.
- Lead, train, and motivate the dealership's detail department.
- Schedule and prioritize vehicle workflow to meet dealership deadlines.
- Inspect completed vehicles to ensure they meet company quality standards.
- Maintain inventory of detailing supplies and equipment.
- Hire, coach, and develop detail employees.
- Work closely with Sales and Service departments to ensure vehicles are completed on time.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized detail facility.
- Monitor productivity and implement processes that improve efficiency and quality.
- Occasionally assist with detailing vehicles when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive detailing experience is required.
- Prior leadership or management experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to motivate and hold employees accountable.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
