Looking for a skilled dental assistant to be part of a fun, dynamic team dedicated to providing top-notch dental services at our family-owned dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist the dentists and hygienists during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide efficient dental care in a well-organized and friendly environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentists and hygienists during examinations and treatment procedures
- Prepare patients for treatment, take vital signs, and obtain medical history
- Provide post-operative instructions prescribed by the dentist
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment for patients
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and materials
- Utilize Open Dental for patient records
- Take dental X-rays
- Perform other administrative tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in assisting with general dentistry procedures
- X-ray certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Open Dental Software a plus
- Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy
- Strong understanding of infection control practices in a dental setting
- Strong grasp of dental terminology
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques
- 1+ years of general dental assisting required
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license a plus
- Experience working with pediatric patients a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Ability to work part-time Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
