Position Summary
As a Confined Space Rescue Attendant, you'll provide standby rescue coverage at client job sites, monitor confined space entries, and be prepared to execute rescue operations when needed. You are the trained safety presence that keeps entrants protected.
Responsibilities
- Provide confined space rescue standby coverage per OSHA 1910.146 requirements
- Monitor atmospheric conditions using gas detection equipment
- Maintain constant communication with entrants and attendants
- Set up and inspect rescue equipment, retrieval systems, and PPE
- Execute non-entry and entry rescue procedures when required
- Complete pre-entry checklists, permits, and incident documentation
- Respond calmly and decisively in emergency situations
Requirements
- Confined Space Rescue certification (or ability to obtain; training available for the right candidate)
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Physically able to perform rescues, wear an SCBA, and work in demanding conditions
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to regional job sites
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Strong situational awareness and dependability
Preferred
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Firefighter, EMT, or industrial rescue background
- Experience with high-angle or rope rescue
- Confined space entrant/attendant experience
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
