Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Manage daily classroom activities, behavior management strategies, and routines to support optimal learning experiences
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any special needs or interventions required
- Implement early intervention strategies and work with children requiring additional support in areas such as special education or behavior management
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental progress and inform instruction
- Supervise assistant teachers and classroom aides, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high-quality childcare and education
Experience
- Prior classroom management experience in preschool or early childhood settings, preferably within private schools or daycare environments
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and childhood development
- Hands-on experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including toddlers and those requiring special education or early intervention services
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is highly desirable
- Familiarity with classroom experience involving standardized testing procedures and lesson planning for early learners
- Proven ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a nurturing environment that promotes child welfare
