Duties
- Supervise children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, creativity, and social skills
- Provide attentive infant care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting young children as needed
- Support toddler and preschooler care by encouraging exploration and early learning experiences
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities
- Apply behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior and social interactions among children
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to children's activities and safety
Qualifications
- Experience working with children across various age groups, including infants through elementary school-age children
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required (we can help you obtain this)
- Ability to plan engaging activities tailored to children's developmental stages
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom activity planning
- Previous childcare center, nannying or babysitting experience is preferred but not mandatory; a genuine passion for working with children is essential
