We are seeking a hands-on Project Engineer to lead capital equipment and facility projects within a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in taking projects from concept design installation completion, while working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.

Investigate project feasibility including scope, schedule, and budget

Develop detailed scope of work, bid packages, and project specifications

Review technical drawings and provide feedback; negotiate design changes as needed

Ensure compliance with local and national safety codes

Partner with 3rd party safety consultants for compliance and validation

Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to design and install equipment
-
Supervise contractors in both greenfield and brownfield environments

Coordinate installation activities with skilled trades, engineers, and equipment manufacturers

Track project milestones and develop countermeasures to keep projects on schedule

Support successful project execution through startup and completion

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technical Trade Certification, or equivalent experience

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

3+ years of project management experience

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office

Experience with AutoCAD

Experience developing bid specifications and negotiating with contractors

2+ years of experience reviewing technical drawings

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Experience supporting Toyota or automotive manufacturing projects

Experience with automotive paint processes

Ability to understand and calculate utility costs
