Beech Construction Services is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer to join our underground utility team. This position is responsible for the installation of water, fire, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems on civil and sitework projects throughout Middle Tennessee.

What You'll Do
- Install water, fire, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage piping systems
- Read and follow grade stakes, plans, and project specifications
- Install and work with:
- Schedule 40 & 80 PVC
- Ductile Iron Pipe
- SDR Pipe
- C900 Water Pipe
- Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP)
- Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP)
- High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
- Perform pipe installation using glue joints, mechanical joints, and restraint systems
- Assist with trench layout, excavation, and utility installation
- Ensure proper pipe alignment, grade, and elevations
- Perform utility testing and quality control procedures
- Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety policies
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of underground utility pipe laying experience
- Experience installing water, fire, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems
- Experience with Schedule 40/80 PVC, Ductile Iron, SDR, C900, RCP, CMP, and HDPE pipe
- Ability to install glue joints and mechanical joint restraint systems
- Experience working around shoring systems and deep excavations
- Knowledge of rigging practices and jobsite safety procedures
- Thorough understanding of:
- Hydrostatic testing
- Air testing
- Mandrel proofing
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience operating construction equipment
- Experience reading utility plans and specifications
- CDL or interest in obtaining one
