Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to identify their needs and recommend appropriate products or services
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and follow-up
- Demonstrate product features, benefits, and pricing options clearly and confidently
- Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Manage route driving responsibilities for product delivery or customer visits, adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards
- Conduct merchandising activities to ensure displays are attractive, organized, and aligned with company standards
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy products or equipment during deliveries or stock replenishment
Skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly
- Strong math skills for pricing calculations, discounts, and profit margins
- Knowledge of automotive transportation, including commercial driving experience and route planning
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely in accordance with safety protocols
- Familiarity with sales techniques, upselling strategies, and customer service best practices
- Understanding of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and vehicle safety compliance
- Organizational skills for managing schedules, routes, and inventory efficiently
- Experience in merchandising and route driving preferred; military background is a plus for discipline and operational excellence
