Job Responsibilities
YourTown Health is currently seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative for our thriving Family Practice Office in Senoia, GA ! This position is responsible for scheduling and registering patients, determining sliding fee scale program eligibility, verifying patient information and ensuring a smooth patient flow at the clinic. Principle responsibilities include:
- Answer phones promptly and courteously, route calls, and take messages.
- Receive patients and make appointments.
- Obtain and verify patient data including address, insurance coverage, employment status, etc. according to clinic procedures.
- Maintain smooth patient flow throughout clinic and ensure that patients are called in order.
- Advise patients if there will be a delay in service and provide continual feedback to patients concerning appointment time.
- Scan all required patient financial and clinical information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment for front office.
- Responsible for collecting and balancing patient revenue each day.
- Request health records from patients previous health care providers.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
- 1+ years of customer service experience required.
- 1+ years of experience working in an outpatient medical practice preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
