Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and other building equipment to ensure peak performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs with precision, adhering to safety standards and best practices.
- Diagnose issues using schematics, technical drawings, and diagnostic tools; implement effective solutions promptly.
- Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts when necessary, demonstrating leadership qualities while coordinating tasks efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs.
- Assist with construction or renovation projects by providing technical support and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician in a commercial or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and equipment repair.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools essential for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Experience working with HVAC systems—including air conditioning—and understanding of refrigeration principles.
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics accurately to identify issues and execute repairs effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide team members or coordinate maintenance activities efficiently.
