Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Staff Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Dispense prescriptions accurately while adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies and identify potential drug interactions
- Prepare and compound medications, including sterile IV infusions and aseptic techniques, ensuring compliance with quality standards
- Manage inventory levels efficiently, including ordering, stock rotation, and proper storage of pharmaceuticals
- Utilize pharmacy software, Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and medication records accurately
- Provide immunizations, medication administration guidance, and health screenings in accordance with medical guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on medical management plans, pain management strategies, and patient care initiatives
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Support pharmacy technicians by supervising workflows, training staff, and ensuring accurate medication dispensing processes
- Stay current with clinical pharmacy practices, including pediatrics, critical care, acute care, LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy, physiology knowledge, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and immunizations
Qualifications
- Valid pharmacist license with active registration in the relevant jurisdiction
- Prior experience in compounding pharmacy setting is highly preferred
- Pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience demonstrating advanced patient care skills
- Strong knowledge of medical management, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Proficiency with pharmacy software systems SiCompounding
- Experience with compounding medications and aseptic techniques for IV infusions and sterile preparations
- Ability to perform patient assessments effectively and provide comprehensive medication counseling
- Knowledge of inventory management practices to ensure medication availability and safety standards are maintained
- Certification in immunizations and IV insertion is desirable; ongoing professional development in pain management and hospital pharmacy practices is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Pay: $62.00 - $69.00 per hour
