Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Coordinator to oversee operations within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food service industry, demonstrating exceptional leadership and management skills. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure smooth daily operations, effective team management, and outstanding customer service.
Duties
- Coordinate daily meal program operations, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards
- Manage inventory control and assist with food preparation and production, purchasing and coordinate delivery routes
- Train and develop kitchen and delivery staff in various areas including cooking techniques, customer service, obtaining all kitchen staff certificates
- Coordinate shift management to ensure adequate staffing
- Implement training programs for new hires, focusing on food handling, kitchen management, and hospitality practices
- Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership
- Assist in budgeting processes and operational planning for the program
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards within the kitchen
- Collaborate with management to enhance customer satisfaction through exceptional service
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food service management principles, including inventory control and food safety regulations
- Experience with quick service & fast food restaurants as well as fine dining establishments is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in staff training, development, and supervision
- Background in culinary arts or kitchen management is highly desirable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers
