The Manager, Clinical Quality & Patient Safety plays a critical leadership role in advancing quality, safety, and performance improvement across TeamHealth's Emergency Medicine service line. In this position, you will collaborate with physician leaders, operational partners, analytics teams, and executive stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that enhance clinical outcomes, strengthen patient safety programs, and support evidence-based care delivery.
What You'll Do-
Lead clinical quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives across multiple practice locations.

Support a culture of safety through proactive risk identification, event reviews, and continuous quality improvement efforts.

Serve as a trusted subject matter expert on quality programs, patient safety, and performance excellence.
Key Responsibilities-
Develop and implement clinical quality and patient safety strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Identify opportunities for improvement through analysis of clinical, operational, and quality performance data.

Design, manage, and evaluate quality improvement initiatives using established improvement methodologies.

Collaborate with analytics and informatics teams to develop quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools.

Analyze performance trends and clinical variation to provide actionable recommendations to leadership.

Prepare and present executive-level reports highlighting quality performance, outcomes, and improvement opportunities.

Conduct and support clinical chart reviews, peer review activities, root cause analyses, and patient safety investigations.

Identify system vulnerabilities and implement process improvements that reduce patient harm and operational risk.

Partner with Risk Management, Legal, Revenue Cycle, CMS, vendor, and operational teams to support quality reporting, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Assist with external audits, third-party inquiries, and regulatory reporting initiatives.

Educate clinicians on quality measures, documentation best practices, coding, and performance improvement efforts.

Build strong partnerships across clinical, operational, and administrative teams to advance patient safety and quality objectives.
