BBK performance is seeking a Senior CNC Machinist with extensive set-up and lead experience. Must be a highly skilled professional responsible for managing set-ups, inspections, tool selection as well as the ability to lead and mentor junior machinists. Must have extensive experience machining aluminum alloys and understand work holdings & machine tools. Equipment at this 65,000ft state of the art location consists of brand new Mazak HCN5000 Horizontal mills attached to a Palletech pallet pool system as well as multiple Mazak & Okuma vertical mills & lathes. Products machined consist of a variety of 356 aluminum castings as well as 6061 aluminum billet supporting the BBK Performance product line.
Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in G-Code and M-Code programming while being able to troubleshoot and work with various work holdings and tooling to provide high-quality products meeting blueprint specifications.
- Minimum of 10yrs experience working as a machinist in a production or job shop environment with full understanding of basic & CMM measuring equipment.
- Ability to lead, train and motivate junior level machinists while maintaining a safe & professional work environment.
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Highly proficient in understanding of CNC machines including vertical & horizontal mills as well as both single & dual turret lathes with live tooling.
- Understanding of operation of conventional mill & lathe equipment in order to build or modify work holdings.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up existing & new jobs on new Palletech pallet pool system using supplied tombstones / work holdings & programs
- Set up and light edit existing & new jobs on Mazak VTC vertical milling center
- Set up and edit jobs on single turret & dual turret live tooled lathes.
- Be familiar with various tools for machining aluminum & steel
- Know how to run machinery efficiently and safely.
- Ensure proper 1st article and in-process inspections are met.
- Run machinery by following detailed specifications and drawings.
- Work alongside R&D team to set-up new products using supplied programs
- Manipulate CNC machines using a variety of machine controls.
- Be familiar with standard concepts and terminology used in metal manufacturing.
- Work with others to complete tasks.
- Provide assistance during machinery acquisition or implementation phases of new projects.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
- Capability to stand for extended periods while performing required functions.
- Ability to continually lift & carry castings, billets and various tools.

At BBK our Deland facility consists of a modern 65,000ft concrete building featuring the latest state of the art manufacturing equipment with a team of talented professionals. All our CNC equipment is the latest high quality vertical, horizontal & lathe machine centers from the top companies in the world including Mazak, Okumu & Citizen.
In addition to machining operations - our Deland location is equipped with a exhaust production & coatings division as well as a new 62,000ft addition that is currently in the permitting process.
Interviewing Process:
The interviewing process for these positions includes a first phone interview to qualify each candidate prior to scheduling a Zoom interview with a production manager. If the candidate passes the Zoom interview - an in-person interview along with a tour of our production facilities will be scheduled.
