Job Summary

Duties
- Assist in supervising all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards.
- Lead and manage kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, controlling costs, and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Implement food safety sanitizing procedures consistently across all kitchen stations to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with the menu planning team to develop innovative dishes that align with the restaurant’s fine dining concept.
- Manage catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely and flawless execution of large-scale food service.
- Monitor food handling practices and ensure proper training on dietary restrictions and allergy awareness for team members.
- Support the training and development of kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong culinary skills and leadership capabilities.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing kitchen teams in high-volume settings.
- Extensive banquet experience along with expertise in catering operations.
- Knowledge of food industry best practices including inventory control, cost management, and food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Familiarity with dietary department requirements and special dietary accommodations.
- Strong background in food production, menu planning, and restaurant management principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively during shift management.
- Hands-on experience with food service management, including inventory management and food handling procedures.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
