Salary: $24.05 - $31.30 per hour + $4.00 Nightshift Premium
SUMMARY
Troubleshoots equipment problems; Diagnoses specific and prioritized issues for corrective action; Performs equipment PM; modifies equipment as necessary; Recommends facility and system improvements and changes including CAPEX projects. Works with Production Mangers to enhance and maintain partnerships and clear communications between Maintenance and Production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
May be required to work off-shifts, weekends or holidays as needed to support facility or to balance workload within the Maintenance team.
Diagnoses electrical/mechanical equipment malfunctions and performs corrective maintenance.
Performs preventive maintenance on all types of mechanical/electrical/electronic equipment.
Capable of learning and mastering roll and die maintenance requirements.
Completes machine repair and assembly using standard procedures and works with teams when required.
Demonstrates advanced applications knowledge and understanding of motor mechanics and Variable Speed Drives.
Installs new equipment; runs conduit; pulls wire; identifies and terminates wire to respective equipment, etc. (position, level, anchor and square to adjacent equipment)
Tests electrical circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using test equipment.
Installs controls and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, wiring, etc.
Install pipes for air, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum and material. Fabricates items using basic shop tools. (grinder, band saw, drill press, welders)
Works from drawings, sketches and verbal instructions. Follows all lock out/tag out procedures as required.
Observes newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operation conditions making adjustments when and where required, also checking for proper guarding and safety interlock functions.
Exercises the fire equipment and maintains the process water system. Provides backup support for other maintenance staff as needed.
Provides assistance to Engineering on request.
Participates with others in team improvement projects and activities.
Teach, Coach and Mentor junior or less-experienced Maintenance personnel to foster team development and growth of overall skills depth within the organization. Attend meetings with Maintenance Supervisor and Production Managers as required for continuous improvement, effective communications between departments and collaboration between Maintenance and Production teams. Work with Production managers on common projects to improve efficiency and plant performance.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
-Associate Degree in electrical systems and principles from college or Certification from technical school preferred.
-Three (3) or more years of manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
Understanding of all applicable OSHA requirements, i.e. Arc Flash, Confined Spaces, Lockout/tag out, experience in maintenance role and/or training.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Documented training or demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical prints and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
