Duties
- Personal Care (ADLs): Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding to ensure hygiene and health.
- Health Management: Monitoring health conditions, tracking behavioral changes, managing medications, and assisting with rehabilitation or therapy exercises.
- Daily Living Support: Providing meal preparation, grocery shopping, light housekeeping, and laundry.
- Transportation & Mobility: Assisting with transferring, walking, and driving the individual to medical appointments, community outings, and social activities.
- Behavioral Support: Implementing personalized care plans and behavioral support strategies to assist with emotional regulation and daily challenges.
- Advocacy & Communication: Acting as an advocate for the individual’s rights, communicating with family members and medical professionals, and ensuring compliance with care plans.
Qualifications
- Must be available to work in Lorain County
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required.
- Patience and Empathy: Essential for building trust and providing compassionate support.
- Physical Stamina: Necessary for mobility assistance, lifting, and daily active support.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to report changes and interact with care teams.
- Certifications: While not always required, training as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Direct Support Professional (DSP) is often preferred.
Training: Familiarity with safety, infection control, and privacy protocols (HIPAA)
Pay: $30.00 per hour
