Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with varying needs, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. Your work will involve engaging with clients in a meaningful way, promoting independence, and fostering a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' social interactions and overall well-being.
- Monitor clients' health and behavior, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s specific needs, including those requiring memory care or dementia care.
- Engage clients in recreational activities that promote physical and mental stimulation.
- Provide transportation for recreational activities, appointments and other needs.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients by following established health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with family members and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Skills
- Experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred, particularly in memory care, senior care, or long-term care settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent observational skills for patient monitoring and identifying changes in behavior or health status.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.

Pay: $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
