Birmingham’s historic landmark, The Club, is looking for fun, friendly, and energetic servers to join our team! The Club has been a Birmingham institution for over 70 years, with its breathtaking view of the city, unique architecture, and one-of-a kind restaurants and service.
Our goal is excellence through uncompromising service to our members in a caring and respectful manner. Our team provides high levels of service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere to our members with three full-service restaurants, bar and lounge, along with a high volume of event activity.
Server Position Overview
As a server, you will play a vital role in delivering elevated hospitality and personalized service that exceeds the expectations of our members. Working in a polished, fast-paced, and discreet environment, you will be expected to uphold the highest standards of service, etiquette, and professionalism.
Server Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional and personalized service to members and guests in a discreet and professional manner.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of the food and beverage menus to confidently provide recommendations.
- Anticipate guest needs and preferences to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness, organization, and presentation at all times.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Uphold club standards and maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all members.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Assist in setting and resetting tables, managing reservations, and supporting event setups as needed.
Server Requirements
- Previous serving experience required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Polished and professional appearance with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, and fine cuisine is a plus.
- Commitment to discretion, confidentiality, and exemplary service.
18+ High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous food and beverage experience required.
