The Indiana University School of Dentistry has been advancing oral health in the state and beyond since 1879, when it was founded as the Indiana Dental College. The mission of the Office of Clinical Affairs is to promote excellence in patient care. Through collaboration with students, faculty, and staff, the office supports the delivery of dental care with the quality of the patient's interest always in mind. Striving to engage and support an inter-professional learning environment we provide the most comprehensive treatment for the patient in a supervised clinical environment.
Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities

Collect, analyze, and maintain clinical and academic data to support student competency tracking, accreditation requirements, and program assessment initiatives.

Manage workflow for pre-doc clinical and didactic competencies

Follow up with pre-doc students and faculty regarding issues
-
Monitors and reports student competency progress to faculty and discipline directors.

Compiles and analyzes quality improvement initiatives
-
Tracks adverse events and incident reporting for school
General Responsibilities
-
Extracts data from source documents and completes electronic case report forms.

Responds to and resolves queries in a timely fashion.

Contacts outside healthcare providers to obtain subject records and information.

Assists team with creation of source document tools.

Assists with document preparation for audits.

Creates and maintains regulatory documents.
Qualifications
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.
EDUCATION
Required

High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
Preferred

Associate's degree in Medical Administration, business, or closely related field
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required

2 years of experience in a medical setting, working with medical records, or a closely related field

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

This is an in-person position.

Advertised Salary
$42,000 to $44,000 per year based on experience and internal equity
Work Hours
Monday - Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
