Would you like a 3-1/2 day work week and have a 3-1/2 day weekend? Do you dream of working with a friendly, no-drama team of coworkers who genuinely enjoy their jobs and spending their work days together?
- Ours is a small, private, one-doctor dental office. We pride ourselves in providing excellent care that goes beyond the clinical procedures. Our patients become part of our dental family. We enjoy sharing the stories of their vacations, weddings, children--everything! Our patients tell us that they actually look forward to coming in to see us!
As the office receptionist/patient coordinator, you will be expected to cheerfully greet the patients by name as they enter the office and make them feel welcome. Yours is the first smile they see, and you set the tone for their visit.
Your responsibilities will include:
Scheduling a productive day for the dentist and hygienists.
Answering incoming calls and replying to e-mails and texts.
Discussing treatment plans with the doctor and taking notes during consultations.
Making financial arrangements with patients, including estimating dental insurance coverage.
Accurately submitting and processing dental insurance claims.
Reconciling the production and collection accounts daily.
AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF DENTAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Familiarity with Softdent Software is a plus but not required. I will remain on staff for two to four weeks to help with the transition.
Dr. Rathjen is an excellent dentist. He has consistently been voted a Top Dentist by both Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine as well as Minnesota Monthly. His leadership is always centered around providing the best for his patient. He has high standards and is fortunate to have an excellent staff who share his commitment to providing personalized and comfortable care to his patients. You will have a busy day, but Dr. Rathjen does his best to ensure that everybody is able to enjoy a full hour for lunch, as well as finishing the days on time.
Your coworkers are truly some of the nicest, most genuine ladies you'll ever meet. There is no drama, gossip or backstabbing. They will welcome you with open arms! You will be replacing me in this position, as I am retiring after 25 years. I can honestly say that it has been an enjoyable, challenging, and rewarding job. I look forward to passing the torch to the right person, who can comfortably take my place in the role I have enjoyed so much.
