American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) with 3-5 years of hospital experience in Critical Care, ED, and Pediatrics for a night shift position at an acute care hospital.

Acute care hospital with 255 staffed beds
-
Respiratory Therapy department providing inpatient therapeutic and diagnostic services
-
Offers patient education services such as Living with COPD and Asthma Awareness Program
-
Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, NICU, and Pediatrics work settings
-
Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00 with a 3 and 4 day every other week rotation
-
No call requirement
-
Uses Meditech charting system
-
CRT required; RRT, ACLS, BLS, and NRP preferred
-
License required if applicable
-
3-5 years of hospital experience preferred
-
Critical Care, ED, and Pediatric experience required
-
Prior travel experience preferred

Experience with medication delivery systems including aerosol setups and MDIs
-
Experience administering medications such as Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, and others
-
Experience caring for patients with ARDS, aspiration, bronchoscopy, COVID, and fresh tracheostomy
-
Neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedure experience including CPAP/BiPAP, intubation assist, and ventilator management
-
Skilled in chest physiotherapy, arterial blood gas drawing and interpretation, and airway management/suctioning techniques

Provide a full range of therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory services to inpatients

Support patient education programs including COPD and Asthma Awareness initiatives

Scrub color requirement: Ceil blue top and black pants

Fit testing required; travelers must shave for fit testing unless an approved medical exemption is provided prior to start

Zero-tolerance THC policy; medical marijuana cards not accepted

Drug screening required during compliance and again on day one onsite

If one holiday falls during the assignment, expect to work it; if two, expect to work one; if three, expect to work two

Flexible start dates for allied health professionals, not tied to general RN orientation schedule

Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted

Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff at this facility within the last 24 months will not be considered
