Hospice Aide - Certified Nurse Aide
Job Summary
As a Hospice Aide, you are the heart of our daily patient interactions. Your primary function is to provide personal healthcare and assist with daily activities in the patient's home. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for those in our care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct personal care, such as sponge baths, skin care, and oral hygiene.
Assist patients safely with transfers, ambulation, and proper nutrition and fluid intake. Observe and report any changes in the patient's physical or emotional status to the supervising nurse.
Communicate respectfully and supportively with patients, families, and team members.
Practice strict infection control principles and maintain a clean environment for the patient.
Qualifications
Successful completion of an approved Nurse Aide training/competency program or State Licensure program. High School Diploma preferred.
At least one year of experience as a Nursing Assistant or Hospice Aide in a healthcare facility preferred.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and valid auto liability insurance.
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with moving patients.
Compensation
$25 per visit
