Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day mechanical activities as assigned by Lead performed in client facilities
- Perform the mechanical work toward its project’s goal of Safety, Quality, Productivity and Service
- Perform work as required to maximize the quality of the Company while maintaining the specified expectations of the client
- Ensure safe working environment while performing mechanical work in the client’s facilities
- Knowledge of safe work practices
- Operate and maintain all company owned or rented vehicles in a professional manner
- Report any job scope changes to the Superintendent
- Ensure that all field work is done properly and safely
- Maintain good communication with Supervisor while performing inert or non-inert jobs
- Adhere to all Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements
- Report any unusual findings
- Install essential equipment pertaining to the job scope
- Maintain all company owned and/or rental equipment to promote quality, professional appearance and reduce the frequency and magnitude of repairs. Keep all equipment clean; document/red tag damaged or broken equipment and tools for repair
- Assist with the cleaning and correct loading of equipment on trailers
- Support the Supervisor and Superintendent by assisting in the development of customer expectations and timelines
- Follow all Company Quality Control/Quality Assurance procedures/processes
- Conduct all Company business in accordance with Company policies and procedures and maintain professionalism throughout all business dealings both internally and externally
- Attend annual training as required
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 12 months of prior work experience. Boilermaker 3rd Class is a physically demanding job and may require, but not limited to the following activities: must be able to bend, stoop, walk, climb, squat, reach, kneel, push/pull, stand, sit, and lift more than 50 pounds. Must be First Aid & CPR trained. Must complete all Company and/or client required safety and craft training. Must be able to travel.
