Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across various facilities
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in top condition
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while practicing safe lifting practices
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas thoroughly
- Assist with custodial tasks related to facilities maintenance, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for resolution
- Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects that require specialized cleaning techniques or equipment
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocol
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff or clients when needed
- Experience with facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is a plus
- Strong attention to detail to ensure all areas meet sanitation standards and cleanliness expectations
