Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server Assistant to join our dynamic team at The Darling Oyster Bar in Downtown Savannah.
The Server Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests by providing support to the serving staff and maintaining the overall efficiency of restaurant operations.
This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist servers & bar staff in delivering food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and address any guest requests or concerns.
- Provide exceptional guest service by anticipating needs and responding promptly to inquiries.
- Uphold food handling standards to ensure safety and quality in all food service operations.
Skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and guests.
- Experience in food service or handling is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
