JOB Summit Stage is seeking friendly and safety-minded bus drivers to join our team!
Applications are accepted on an on-going basis year-round. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and possess a Colorado Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement OR be able to obtain one through our driver training program within two weeks of starting. Bus Operator pay starts at
$31.25 per hour with a $5000.00 bonus package plus an excellent Summit County Government benefits package EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Bus Operator for fixed-route public transit system and complementary para-transit

Perform vehicle and equipment inspections per Summit Stage policy

Answer questions about routes, services, and general area information

Ensure passenger safety in the event of accident, vehicle break down, or other issue

Prepare detailed written reports concerning incidents, safety issues, etc.

Observe, document, and report operational safety issues to supervisory staff

Other duties as assigned by supervisory staff when not assigned a driving shift. These duties may include, but are not limited to: cleaning of bus interiors and exteriors, dumping of trash out of transit vehicles, inspecting vehicles, bringing vehicles to the shop for repairs, and fueling of fleet vehicles

Able to read, write, and understand written and verbal instruction

Fluency in spoken and written English language required. Fluency in Spanish desirable.

Detect and report improperly functioning mechanical systems on fleet vehicles
