Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Caregiver to provide overnight support from 8 PM to 8 AM in. This vital role involves ensuring the safety, well-being, and comfort of our clients through attentive patient observation, personalized care, and assistance with daily activities. Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ health status by observing vital signs and overall condition throughout the night
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts
- Administer medication following care plans and ensure accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
- Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in residents’ conditions by implementing first aid or CPR when needed
- Support residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other neurodevelopmental disorders through specialized memory care techniques
Skills
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments
- Strong patient observation skills with the ability to monitor vital signs and recognize changes in condition
- Knowledge of medication administration, care plans, and HIPAA compliance
- Experience assisting with ADLs and manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts
- Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation while maintaining safety standards
- CPR certification and first aid training required; heavy lifting capability preferred for resident transfers
