Senior UI Engineer – Data-Dense Applications & Open Source Theming
Locations: Seattle, WA; or Orlando, FL, Glendale/Anaheim, CA;

If you’re a senior front-end engineer who can take an existing product, understand its architecture, and transform the experience without creating a maintenance nightmare, this role may be a great fit.
We’re looking for someone who combines strong front-end engineering with a sharp visual eye. You’ll customize and extend AI and analytics tools such as Open WebUI, LiteLLM Admin UI, Arize, Phoenix, Archestra, and similar platforms, making them feel polished, cohesive, accessible, and aligned to an enterprise design system.
You’ll work from Figma, refine data-dense interfaces, build reusable UI patterns, and customize existing open-source products while preserving clean upgrade paths.
What You’ll Do
- Customize and theme existing open-source and third-party application UIs.
- Translate Figma designs into production-ready front-end code.
- Build responsive UI for dashboards, admin consoles, configuration screens, tables, charts, and complex workflows.
- Extend Svelte/SvelteKit and other modern front-end applications.
- Build reusable components and design-system patterns.
- Integrate UI components with REST/JSON APIs.
- Implement accessible experiences using WCAG, ARIA, keyboard navigation, and responsive design.
- Partner with UX, Product, and Platform Engineering to balance design fidelity with maintainability.
- Make UI changes in a way that preserves future product upgrades.
Required
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
- Strong hands-on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working directly from Figma files and design systems.
- Experience theming, white-labeling, reskinning, or extending an existing application or admin console.
- Experience building data-dense product UI such as dashboards, admin consoles, tables, forms, or analytics tools.
- Experience with Svelte/SvelteKit, React, Angular, or Vue.
- Experience integrating front ends with REST/JSON APIs.
- Strong responsive-design and accessibility knowledge.
- Strong visual attention to spacing, typography, layout, and interaction.
- Live portfolio showing shipped production work is required.

- Arize, Phoenix, LangSmith, Langfuse, Archestra, or similar AI/LLM tools
- Enterprise design systems or design tokens
- WCAG/accessibility remediation
- Python familiarity for UI-adjacent work
- Experience customizing open-source products while maintaining upgrade paths
Pay: $124,002.81 - $169,336.72 per year
