We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Service Sales Representative to support the growth of our power generation service division. This position is responsible for developing and managing customer relationships while promoting service solutions for diesel and natural gas generator systems. The primary focus of the role is the sale of preventive maintenance contracts, load bank testing services, and fuel polishing services for generators powered by internal combustion engines.
The ideal candidate will have experience in technical sales, power generation equipment, or industrial services, and will be capable of identifying customer needs and providing reliable service solutions that ensure equipment performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell preventive maintenance service agreements for standby and prime power generator systems.
- Identify opportunities and sell load bank testing services to ensure generator performance and compliance with operational requirements.
- Promote fuel polishing services to improve fuel quality, prevent contamination, and ensure generator reliability.
- Develop new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate equipment and recommend appropriate service solutions.
- Prepare service proposals, quotations, and contracts for customers.
- Work closely with the service and technical teams to ensure proper scheduling and delivery of services sold.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline opportunities in the CRM system.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify additional service opportunities.
- Stay informed about industry standards, generator maintenance practices, and new service offerings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in power generation, industrial equipment, or mechanical services.
- Basic understanding of diesel and natural gas generator systems and internal combustion engines.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to interpret technical information and translate it into service solutions for customers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for customer visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling generator maintenance contracts or power generation services.
- Familiarity with NFPA 110 testing requirements, load bank testing procedures, and fuel system maintenance.
- Established relationships with facility managers, property managers, hospitals, data centers, or industrial clients.

Work Environment
This position involves a combination of office work and field visits, including visits to commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities where generator systems are installed.
Compensation
- Base salary plus commission structure
- Performance incentives based on service contract sales
- Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (depending on company policy)
Pay: $52,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
