Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Medicine to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. We are seeking a collaborative and patient-focused Physician Assistant to join our Adult Primary Care team. This is a fully outpatient position serving adult patients (18 years and older) in a supportive, team-based environment. The Physician Assistant will work closely with attending physicians to enhance patient care, improve practice efficiency, and support quality initiatives.
Full-time, outpatient position
Monday through Friday
Daytime hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
No evenings, weekends, or on-call responsibilities
Support multiple attending physicians in the daily management of adult primary care patients.
Conduct patient intake activities, gather medical histories, and perform physical examinations as appropriate through in-person and virtual encounters.
Assist with patient evaluations and follow-up care under the supervision of attending physicians.
Complete clinical documentation, including encounter notes, chart updates, and patient summaries in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Process referrals, enter orders, complete forms, and assist with prior authorizations.
Manage provider in-basket messages and facilitate timely communication with patients and care team members.
Monitor and communicate significant changes in patient condition to attending physicians when appropriate.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative team members to achieve quality, patient satisfaction, and operational performance goals.
Contribute to initiatives that support high-quality, patient-centered care.
No independent patient panel.
Opportunity to assist in the evaluation and management of attending physicians' patients as needed.
Strong emphasis on teamwork, care coordination, and clinical support within a busy adult primary care practice.
- Physician Assistant certification/license issued by the NCCPA
- Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant
- Must be ACLS/BLS certified
Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $131,127* - $174,836* based on 40-hour work week.
The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** - $192,319**, which includes the baseline salary and other factors as set forth below:
