Part-Time Salon Assistant

Position Overview
Atelier AOC is seeking a polished, reliable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Salon Assistant to support daily salon operations and deliver an exceptional client experience. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the beauty industry, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining a high-end salon environment.
Schedule
- Part-time (including Saturdays; some weekday flexibility required)
- Hours may vary based on salon needs
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Experience & Front of House
- Greet clients warmly upon arrival and offer beverages
- Ensure each guest feels welcomed, comfortable, and attended to
- Assist with client check-in and check-out when needed
- Maintain a clean, calm, and luxury atmosphere throughout the salon
Salon Support
- Shampoo and condition clients’ hair (if licensed or permitted by state regulations)
- Prepare clients for stylists (gowning, detangling, basic prep)
- Assist stylists during services as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of styling stations between clients
Cleaning & Organization
- Sweep floors regularly and keep work areas spotless
- Sanitize tools, bowls, brushes, and equipment according to salon standards
- Keep backbar, dispensary, and product areas clean and organized
- Restock towels, capes, retail products, and supplies
Inventory & Product Management
- Assist with inventory tracking and restocking
- Notify management when supplies are running low
- Help maintain visual merchandising of retail products
Laundry & Maintenance
- Wash, dry, and fold towels and capes throughout the day
- Ensure laundry is consistently managed and stocked
Administrative Support
- Answer phones professionally and assist with appointment scheduling if needed
- Support front desk operations during busy times
- Assist with opening and closing duties

Qualifications
- Cosmetology License required (cosmetology students welcome)
- Previous salon or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks
