Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other delivery vehicles to transport appliances to customer locations.
- Unload appliances carefully, ensuring damage-free delivery.
- Install a variety of appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and HVAC units according to manufacturer specifications and schematics.
- Conduct basic appliance repairs and troubleshooting on-site when necessary, utilizing mechanical knowledge and electrical experience.
- Interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and mechanical instructions to assemble and install appliances accurately.
- Test appliances post-installation to ensure proper operation; perform minor equipment repairs as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining appliance features, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction during each interaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, installations, repairs, and service reports.
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times during transportation and installation activities.
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles preferred.
- Hands-on appliance repair or service technician background with knowledge of refrigeration systems and HVAC units.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, schematics, assembly instructions, and equipment repair techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to appliance components and troubleshooting methods.
- Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and effective communication skills in field settings.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately for installation purposes.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, equipment handling, and vehicle operation is highly desirable.
- Clean background required.
