Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. Your expertise will ensure compliance with accounting standards and contribute to the overall financial health of our company. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse accounting software and further develop your skills
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Handle cash receipts and ensure timely deposits
- Maintain and track inventory-related transactions
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Work closely with management on financial insights and improvements
Skills
- Proficiency in popular accounting software including QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting practices.
- Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Familiarity with GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts.
- Ability to perform account analysis, account reconciliation, and account reconciliation efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy.
