Overview
About Capital Industrial
Capital Industrial is a local, family-owned manufacturer, service, and industrial supply company. We service equipment and supply requirements for a wide range of local companies and municipalities, building and supporting everything from heavy equipment for the construction, logging, and contracting industries to equipment for personal end users. For over 40 years we have been manufacturing under our Olympic brand name — heavy log loaders, marine cranes, flatbed truck bodies, and our full line of Olympic Trailers. Capital Industrial dates back to 1921, initially formed by a logging industry blacksmith. We take great pride in providing high-quality service to our community, and we are a growth-oriented company with many opportunities for internal promotion, increased compensation, and leadership roles.
About the Role
The Finish Shop is where our trailers come together — and where they get their final stamp of approval before reaching the customer. As a Finish Shop Technician, you will handle the finishing stages of trailer production, including electrical wiring, decking installation, and final quality checks. This team is the last line of defense for quality control, ensuring every trailer that leaves our shop reflects the workmanship Capital Industrial prides itself on.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and connect trailer wiring, including lighting, harnesses, and electrical components, to specification.
- Install trailer decking accurately and securely as part of final assembly.
- Perform thorough quality checks on completed trailers and projects, identifying and correcting defects before customer delivery.
- Complete assigned projects in a prompt and complete manner while meeting production lead times.
- Support service and repair work orders in coordination with the Retail department as needed.
- Use downtime productively — assemble and maintain stock levels of parts, prep for upcoming projects, and keep the shop organized.
- Communicate proactively with the Finish Shop Lead or Foreman about work status, availability, and any production concerns.
- Bring ideas to the table — suggest improvements that increase production quality or efficiency.

- Self-starter mindset — you stay ahead of the work and ask for more when your queue is empty.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with 12V trailer or automotive wiring and electrical troubleshooting.
- Background in trailer manufacturing, RV service, welding/fabrication, or a related trade.
