Position: Middle School Math Intervention Teacher
Location: Estherville Lincoln Central Middle School, Estherville Lincoln Central Community School District
Summary:
The Middle School Math Intervention Teacher provides targeted mathematics instruction and intervention to support students in developing foundational and grade-level math skills. This position collaborates with classroom teachers and support staff to implement evidence-based instructional practices, monitor student progress, and support student achievement through intervention and MTSS processes.
Responsibilities:

Provide targeted math instruction and interventions to identified middle school students

Utilize evidence-based instructional practices aligned to Iowa Core Standards and district curriculum

Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiated instruction and student learning

Monitor student progress using assessment data and adjust instruction accordingly

Participate in MTSS processes, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions and meetings

Assist in identifying students in need of academic intervention and support intervention planning

Support students in developing mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and intervention supports

Participate in team meetings, professional learning communities (PLCs), and professional development

Maintain accurate student records and comply with district, state, and federal requirements
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field

Valid Iowa teaching license issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners

Appropriate middle school mathematics endorsement preferred
