Position Summary: As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our warehouse. This involves managing inventory, maintaining a clean work environment, supporting production and manufacturing areas, and operating various warehouse equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Do YOU Possess These Skills and Attributes? To excel as a Warehouse Associate, you should have:
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy objects, sometimes exceeding 50 lbs.
- Basic math skills and computer literacy for inventory management and record-keeping.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Forklift Operators Certification is required.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Ensure accurate quantities of components are pulled and scanned for production.
- Scan all moves (into racks, onto docks, onto trucks, or into production rooms).
- Verify accuracy of Deacom labels and RTS before returning to inventory.
- Ensure timely scanning of items off trucks and accurate adjustments in Deacom.
- General Warehouse Duties:
- Complete daily inspection forms for trucks and forklifts.
- Maintain a clean work environment by cleaning bulk lids/component tops and removing debris.
- Assist in recycling components/pallets and sending them to the Jessup Warehouse.
- Support production/manufacturing by facilitating pick sheets and moving inventory as needed.
- Wrap pallets and execute RTS for materials returned from production.
- Flexibility and Travel:
- Be willing to travel to any of the company's facilities as needed.
- Assist in various warehouse tasks including wrapping pallets and loading components.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Logistics Manager beyond the regular daily duties.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift Operators Certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed and to adhere to company standards and procedures.
